The thaw is happening. One of the many aspects of TCM that I appreciate is the way in which time is constructed. Because time is a kind of twisted loop, an infinity symbol, a three dimensional tunnel spiral yin-yanging around and through, there are seemingly endless beginnings, starts, shifts, arcs (and as many holes, wanings, wind downs) within living. February 4th was the day when the wood liver becomes activated and we left the deep deep yin of winter. February 17th we’ve entered another beginning of the New Year, and that has a celebration that goes on for two weeks. Each day has its own spring, that draws your body up and out towards the light. A miniature expansion that keeps you primed for the larger, collective openings and beginnings. Many days in a row the mourning doves are waking me up with their song. I enjoy looking at how the soft curve of their underbelly presses into the branch and how the branch lightly curves to meet the dove body. It looks like it shouldn’t fit or work or be possible but all the elements seem to be at home. Silver feather on silver bark. Beginnings.

In the car J says that someone else told him that clowns are out and magicians are in. Which makes me think about how magicians have been in for the last year and a half online. Which means it took the experimental art world 18 months to catch on to that, and it will take another 9-12 months to start seeing it in the work being produced. And will that information gap ever really get closer and is it really because of the medium or is it because of how the medium perceives itself? If you aren’t ready to say you’re into understanding the vibe (the medium) then the vibe (the medium) will always end up finding you and slowly caressing you into submission. What kind of time arc is that? Is it some kind of reverse on what could ascension so that your own creative ascension becomes everyone’s drop ? Does that make sense ? Not that it needs to I’m just attempting to describe the inner edge of the curve that is going with the grain that one could always choose to attempt to move in the opposite direction. Either way you’re passing through magicians being in. And now they’re going to be in for 5 years instead of 2.
